My town by Ioana Cenan

From Ioana Cenan to Carson Binkley

Hi Carson!

I'm going to talk you about my town. I live in Juneda, in Catalonia. Juneda it's a small town but there are lots of things in it.
There is a cinema but they play boring films and only on Sundays.
There are two parks, one of them is quite big, with trees, benches, and an infantil area with swings and slides. There is some sand too.
There are a couple of supermarkets and many shops. There is a bakery too.
Near the outskirts of the town there are de Municipal Swimming pools. There there are three swimming pools, a big one, a medium and a small pool for babies. Next to the pools there are two soccer fields, one large and one small, and a paddle court,
In Juneda there are more interesting things but now I'm going to talk about what my friends and I do in our free time.
We have a type of club, but it's on the second floor of Biel's house. There we have a billiard table, a puf, a big sofa lots of table games and a pinball game. We have lot of fun in our club. When Biel isn't at home, we sometimes go to Xenia's house. In summer we swim into her pool and play with her dog and in winter we go to her garage and stay there.
When it isn't too cold or too hot, we buy sweets and chips and we go walking along the canal or to a small mountain named Tossal de la Sal. We sometimes go to La Coma and do a Calçotada and we eat calçots, which are a special type of onions with a very tasty handmade dressing eaten in Catalonia and saussage on the barbaque too. We sometimes do Cassoles de tros too.

Cassoles de tros.                                       Calçots.
